Practice
Finding the feeling.
Feelings can be hard to name, and that’s common for neurodivergent people. Start with what your body is telling you, then find a word that fits. Close enough is good enough.
The worksheet, as designed. The same content is written out below.

Mark where you notice something
The sheet has an outline of a body to mark.
Marks to use:
Your own marks work too. Noticing nothing is information as well.
Circle any sensation words that fit
What does it feel like? Tick all that apply
Circle the closest words. More than one can fit, and so can none yet.
Calm / content Tick all that apply
Happy / excited Tick all that apply
Sad / low Tick all that apply
Scared / anxious Tick all that apply
Angry / frustrated Tick all that apply
Overwhelmed / shut down Tick all that apply
When you’re ready, your word can slot into an I-statement: “I feel ___.”
For reflection and practice, not diagnosis. Bring it to your next session if you’d like to talk it through.
