The SOLA Framework

Understand the cycle.
Then change it.

SOLA began as one person's search to make sense of her own brain — and became a framework anyone can learn, live, and teach. Four movements that turn insight into a life that actually fits.

"People don't need another place to perform. They need a place to understand themselves."Leah Hunter · Founder of SOLA

Most of us learn to manage our symptoms long before we understand our patterns. We push through, mask, and white-knuckle our way to burnout — then start the cycle over. The SOLA Framework is a way out of that loop: a shared language for how your brain works, why it gets stuck, and how to build something steadier. It's the spine of every group, cohort, and resource we make.

Four movements

Each builds on the last

Movement one

Understand

Every behavior makes sense. Before we change ourselves, we have to understand ourselves.

"You cannot change what you have not first learned to see."

NeurodivergenceExecutive functionNervous-system regulationEmotional processingIdentityPattern recognition
Movement two

Support

Reduce friction and create safety.

"You can't pour from an empty cup."

Movement three

Connect

Healing happens in relationship.

"Connection creates safety. Safety creates change."

Movement four

Build

Create a life that fits your brain.

"Design a life that supports you."

The SOLA Change Cycle™

Life changes. We change. The cycle begins again.

A lifelong model for navigating change — seven practices, one cycle, unlimited growth. Each practice lives in one of three layers.

Layer one

Awareness

Observe.

1NoticeFacts before stories. Observe what's true right now — no judgment, no fixing.
2Be CuriousCuriosity is the antidote to shame. Wonder instead of assume.
Layer two

Action

Support & experiment.

3SupportInsight doesn't create change — support does. Reduce friction. Ask for help.
4PracticeExperimentation, not perfection. Try one small thing. Adjust. Try again.
Layer three

Transformation

Create & grow.

5ConnectHealing happens in relationship — perspective, co-regulation, belonging.
6BuildDesign routines, environments, and relationships that support your growth.
7IntegrateExperience becomes wisdom. Carry it forward. Then life changes again.

Change isn't linear. You can enter anywhere.
Return to what you need, when you need it.

The flywheel

Learn it. Live it. Teach it.

The framework isn't meant to stay in a workbook. Each person who heals helps the next one land — that's how the community grows.

1LearnClients learn the framework in a guided cohort.
2PracticeThey put it to work in small, supportive groups.
3TrainTherapists get certified to teach the framework.
4GrowNew facilitators run new groups — the circle widens.
