Built to be usable.
SOLA exists for neurodivergent adults, so accessibility isn’t a checkbox for us. It’s the product. Here is what we do, what we’re still working on, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.
Our standard
We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA across asoftlandingspace.com and the member portal, and we test against them ourselves rather than installing an “accessibility overlay” widget.
What’s in place
Semantic HTML with real headings and landmarks, so screen readers and reader modes can navigate. Everything works from a keyboard, with a visible focus ring. Text sizes scale with your browser settings, and the portal has its own larger-text and roomier-spacing options. Colors were chosen for contrast, and no information is carried by color alone.
Animation is off by default in the portal and only turns on if you ask; the public site respects your system’s reduced-motion setting. Nothing auto-plays, nothing flashes, and nothing times out. You can take as long as you need on any screen.
A Focus mode in the portal shows only your next session. Surveys ask one question at a time, every question can be skipped, and you can leave and come back. Sign-in is a link or a six-digit code: no passwords.
Live sessions
Zoom sessions have live captions available. Sessions aren’t recorded. Cameras are always optional. Ask in advance if you need a different format for any material and we’ll do our best.
What we know isn’t perfect yet
Some downloadable workbooks are designed PDFs that aren’t fully tagged for screen readers. Third-party pages we send you to (Stripe checkout, Zoom, Substack) follow their own accessibility practices, not ours.

If anything on the site or in the portal is hard to use, email hello@asoftlandingspace.com with “Accessibility” in the subject. A person reads it, and we’ll reply within five business days (usually much sooner) with a fix or a workaround. Last reviewed September 2026.
